Welcome to the Tallahassee Branch of the NAACP, home of the state capitol and the Florida State Conference (FSC) Capitol Freedom Fighters.
The mission of the NAACP is to ensure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights of all persons and to eliminate racial hatred and racial discrimination.
The Tallahassee Branch is proud to be the Florida NAACP unit responsible for keeping that in the forefront of Florida's governmental leaders, as well as ensuring these same rights are secured for citizens of Tallahassee and Leon County, Florida. Although the goals of the Tallahassee Branch are consistent with those of the National Office, specific areas of interest are voter registration and voter turnout; equity in education including administration, teachers, facilities students and graduation rates; decrease health disparities; minority employment and business equity; and ensuring justice and not 'just-us' for both children and adults are among a few issues we are actively involved in.
These efforts can only be acheived by support from within our community which includes people of all colors. By becoming a member and volunteering to work in areas of interest for you, we can acheive equality for all people in our community. So I call on you to contact us and join the Tallahassee Branch of the NAACP.
Thank you for allowing us to serve you in the Greater Tallahassee Community.
